Nice Pair

  1. NICE!!!! Probably five shot .45ACP. Cylinder looks too short for .45LC. Bottom one probably had the barrel shortened. Also, no shell poker-outter. I like those bird head single actions.

  2. Guessing 357 up top and 45acp below which would mean moon clips thus eliminating the necessity of the shell poker outer…

    1. But that’s a single action so no clips, not sure why the poker outer is removed, looks weird for sure.

    2. I concur with Anon. I have a 3 screw Blackhawk Convertible, .45 Colt/.45 ACP, no moon clips required. The .45 ACP is a hoot to shoot, zero recoil in a gun that weighs almost 3 pounds with a 7 1/2" barrel.
If the lower revolver is a .45 ACP it might be that the rounds are of such low pressure that the spent brass just falls from the chambers without needing a push.
Both of these are very pretty guns.

  3. My Beretta Stampede Marshall in that configuration is a .45 LC six shooter with a transfer bar like a Ruger so you can load it with 6. Fun to shoot, more accurate than you would think, compact to carry and packs a wallop! (and yes it's a re-badged Uberti)

  4. I like the onyx grips.

  5. I never thought I'd like a Bird's Head (round butt) grip until my bride bought a beautiful late '60s S&W Model 60. I was blown away with how comfortable it was to shoot.
I'd love to try a Ruger big bore with that same grip.

  6. According to the Ruger serial number lookup, the upper Vaquero was originally manufactured as a .45 Colt, the lower Blackhawk was a .44 Magnum.
