The Ancient theater of Taormina (Italian: Teatro antico di Taormina) is an ancient Greek theater in Taormina, Sicily, built in the third century BC. The structure we see today is a 2nd century AD Roman reconstruction of the 3rd century BC Greek theater. The Theater of Taormina is the second-largest theater of Sicily, after the one in Syracuse.
So it was already half a millennia old when the Romans rebuilt it!
The entertainment must have been outstanding to keep people focused on the stage and not the view.
