    1. My guess is it's a bucket of some kind of acid etching solution to clean the limestone piece once it's set in place. It looks to be pretty dirty.

  2. Why wouldn't they etch/clean it before hoisting it up? Now that's life on the edge right there. OSHA? We don't need no stinking OSHA!

    1. It's scaffolding. Columns are self supporting. Yes, it probably Indiana limestone.

  11. Video last night on Building America, the Mackinac bridge going to the U.P. Wow!..540' above the moving water and winds...When I was a kid hmm maybe, now, stepladders over 3 steps bug me...
