And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That's the 'new' Sunshine Skyway crossing Tampa Bay looking north from Manatee County to Pinellas County. The original was destroyed by a barge in 1980. Horrible disaster.
#5 Great photo. That's also the new look I want for my truck bench seat. Except no headrest.
#7 I drove a similar road the last 3 days.
#8 Looking south on Hwy 1 through Big Sur in the afternoon. That house shaped rock in the far background is at Cape St Martin. Willows, a great surf spot is there.
The old T-Bird in #12 for the win for me today
ReplyDeleteThat doggo in the truck is looking like it's going for its last ride. Sweet looking dog.
ReplyDeleteThat's the Look of Love.
DeleteOpen primaries and hand shift on the shovel. I did that 40 years ago. Foot clutches turned heads, even back then.
ReplyDeleteThe two pictures with the cow dogs make me wish I was young and could start adulthood all over again.
ReplyDeleteSo many great dogs, so little time.
My favorite is the one with the dog.
ReplyDeleteWhere's the long bridge. Ponchartrain? Never been there, so......

DeleteI drove over the skyway about 15 mins before the barge hit it. shwew...
DeleteThe slot canyon with the shallow river looks like The Narrows at Zion National Park. I hiked it (waded it) a few years ago and it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThing is, if it rains you better beat feet out of there because it's going to flash flood and people have been lost there due to sudden floods.
The doggies look bored on their road trips
ReplyDeleteAnd the horse with river below looks like Ned Pepper's hid out
The bike and horse remind me of the best scene from Ghost Rider.
