And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I regrettably tend to agree with you. They look like they are drifting to land and the water does not look terribly deep or rough. So, I'm rooting for nature.
#3 Too often is the case that the only other car on the road you meet at a corner? You're in that sweet line to take the corner but oh no you gotta break that line for opposite traffic. And it is the one and only car for miles and miles.
