And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Found mine in a driveway in CA with most of the engine in the boot and trashed interior. Hauled it across country. Took me 7 years to restore it to 96 point condition (there were a couple of parts dimply not found for perfection), drove it for a year or so and found it to not be compatible for anyone over 5'8" tall (it was a fixed head coup and every bump i hit the roof). Sold it at a good profit back in the day (if labor not considered), would have been worth 5 times more today. Oh well.
Sweet E-type Jaguar. Definitely worth cleaning up and enjoying. Electrical system will need some work, I am certain.
ReplyDeleteIf it has Lucas electrics "some work" is guaranteed!

ReplyDeleteNow that is one.
ReplyDeleteIt's very nice, but - I'll take the Jeeps.
ReplyDeleteThe reason Brits drink warm beer is because Lucas also makes refrigerators.
