      1) If it existed, it would like finding an F-16 in King Tut's Tomb.
      2) It would likely never have gotten off the ground due to yuuuuuuge CG issues.

  6. When properly configured, a canard can be measurably more efficient. A canard provides positive lift whereas a conventional empennage configuration typically provides a down force which increases control. In a conventional design, the main wings must overcome both the weight of the aircraft and the additional down force from the empennage. The Rutan design took advantage of this. The trade-off is more control vs higher efficiency.
