      And, on the engine...I understand those sleeve-valve engine were very quiet. Was said that you only knew they were near you only when they passed!

  5. I don't think that would run long without a radiator and oil cooler. The RCAF had several squadrons of Typhoons in 1944-45, I'm willing to bet this truck was used in parades in Canada to sell Victory Bonds. I don't believe the Brits ever received lend-lease trucks, Bedford and Austin worked overtime to supply the British Army and RAF with trucks. Most of the Lend-Lease trucks went to Russia. Without American supplies of everything from trucks to metal ingots to food Russia would have been defeated by the Wehrmacht.
