And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Very nice. We have the same on the front and back of our house but not as nice as that one. Those wide floor planks. The railings should have a floor support at the halfway point to eliminate eventual sagging.
Years ago before I retired and got poor I had a house with a front porch. No one can convince me sitting in a hermetically sealed air-conditioned apartment watching "The Shark tank" on a wide screen TV comes anywhere near the blissfulness of sitting in a comfortable chair with a neighbor or two on the porch on a summer's night sipping a gin & tonic, feeling a gentle breeze, smelling the trees, listening to the birds and watching the fire flies flit around.
