And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A staple around here...they don't roll. I almost always have a stubby one in my pocket. I just sharpen it with a knife, like my ol' gray haired pappy did. The ruler thing could be handy for verifying measurements rather than creating them. Ex. Is that a 9/16" or a 5/8" bolt head?
Hey friend. Can't speak for that one specifically, but the yellow one I have has a slot with a hole in the business end. Hole for regular pencil, slot for the carpenter pencil. The cutting edge is 1 sided like regular hand held pencil sharpeners and don't care what shape you put in there. Feels a little awkward at first but you get used to it. About 99% of the time my pencil needs sharpened when I'm not close to the sharpener.
Seems kind of weird to have ruler markings on the very thing your going to be marking with. I guess you need to of them to operate properly.
ReplyDeleteEveryone I knew would just take one or two when at the lumber yard. I have enough to last a lifetime.

ReplyDeleteHow does that sharpener work on a flat pencil? Asking for a friend.

DeleteYou can see what it looks like here:
Deletehttps://www.amazon.com/Big-Horn-19850-Carpenters-Sharpener/dp/B074CGZW8W/ref=psdc_1069806_t2_B091MKF2PN
It has an opening that matches the perimeter of the pencil not a round hole
