  1. You can make a lot of money when you're being bankrolled by the CIA.

  2. The "experts" said his business model wouldn't work. (can't make it up in volume). Same type of person who said Bob Seger couldn't sing (his choir teacher). Ignore the experts, go with your gut.

  4. Note that the desk is an old door. They were not on good financial ground for a long time and cut costs that way. For over a decade it was kind of a status symbol to have a door for a desk there. Sad to say, the HQ rea, I like to call it Amazonia, is pretty dismal now with so many workers going virtual. On top of that are the shut downs, openings, not openings, re-shut down cycle that is turning the whole state inside out. Lots of empty buildings and closed businesses in Amazonia.

    1. Funny, I'm shopping right now for a 3'x8' solid wood door slab for a desk I'm going to build in the spring.

  5. I know Bezo's former head of security. When he retired, Jeffie gave him a tee shirt. My buddy changes oil with it now.

  6. You may not agree with his methods but you have to admit...the man literally started this company from a piece of plywood with some 4 x 4's as legs.....nothing in other words.
