I'm about to die of turkey overdose. Two full Thanksgiving dinners in two days is a lot, but I'm not complaining.

And Mrs. CW just made the moistest turkey I've ever tasted.

  1. Not me, I'm just getting my 2nd wind. About ready to tear into that Butterball again directly.

  2. Despite its small size and them calling it a young turkey, the bird was tough and required much cooking. My wife, the farm girl said that it was an old bird, regardless of what they said. We ate two meals from it and pitched the rest, despite hating waste.

  3. You are lucky, I got a divorce and I ate a restaurant thanksgiving meal that is supposedly noted to be good...nope, awful, how you cook a turkey to the point where dark meat is so dry it breaks off in strings is beyond me. Divorce or stringy turkey? I'll take door #2, Thanksgiving meal is only once a year but a bad marriage is every second of every minute of every hour of every day for years and years. I broke out of jail and am loving it. No more paying for her kid's rehab, nine times I paid for that ffiing guy to get in rehab and he is basically a 38 year old junkie that will never change. So, have a whiskey, be thankful like I am. F#ck Obama, F#ck junkies, I love Trump!!! Happy Thanksgiving!! Cheers!!!

  4. My missus braises turkey at 275° for 7-8 hours in her countertop roaster. It literally falls off the bones, and melts in your mouth. TENDER AND MOIST. A TASTEGASM!

We throw ALL leftovers into the soup pot, bones, meat stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc... THE BEST SOUP EVER!

Always anticipate having the soup, as good as the meal itself!

  7. The club I belong to cooked enough for Thanksgiving that 150-200 members filtered through from 2-4PM. Great food, beverages, music and sharing. Zero social distancing
masks etc. We did the same for Independence Day. Of course here in SC we're not saddled with the gestapo edicts of Cuomo, Whitmer, Newsom etc. However our capitol city's Mayor Steve Benjamin did send out Fire Dept crews to issue $100 citations for not wearing masks in the city. Get that? The fire Dept. has been pressed into enforcing mask orders. This is truly bizarro-world.
