  1. Not as remote as it seems. Big society is mere inches away. It was obvious due to visible lack of resources on the island.

  4. It's a floating, portable dock. They pull it out of the water and store it on land (in the shed?) during times when there is ice, to prevent it from being swept away by the moving ice.

  5. Looks nice, but what happens during rough weather? I'd be concerned that the entire island would get flooded. Needs a seawall.
