And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Looks like Iceland. Have driven a few roads there when the ice and snow are so cold it is no different than driving on dry pavement. The tire pressure does not liquefy at the contact surface. Snow squeaks when walking too. Recall one winter up in the UP where at -40 we had same snow characteristics.
Looking at this I thought of the sound snow makes when you walk in it.
ReplyDeleteAre you talking about the squish-crunch of wet 30° snow, or the squeaking cry of -20° snow?
DeleteThe squeaking noise...

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful.
