And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The winch? A damned electric one. No self respecting owner of a Power Wagon would use anything other than a PTO driven winch...like the one on my diesel International Scout....
Beautifully stock, with the possible exception of replacing the original generator with an alternator? I'm thinking that Braden winch is original, as I vaguely remember seeing rigs like this when I was a kid. Working from memory here. Forgive me if I'm wrong. Anyway, that rig is a honey.

ReplyDeleteA Woodie inspired by a Wench? What Wench? Where's the Wench?

ReplyDeleteThat is an LA series engine.
DeleteIt needs a old fashioned train cow catcher
ReplyDeleteI had a '47 half ton. Front and rear pro winches. Gearing to climb a phone pole.
ReplyDeleteThen I got married. Want some good advice...
