‘Shark Tank’ investor Herjavec: We’re about to see biggest exodus from cities in 50 years

No, Robert, it's going to hurt for a long time indeed.

On Wednesday, new data showed New York City apartment vacancy in June hit a record high of 3.67%. More than 10,000 apartments listed on the market that month, an 85% increase compared with June of last year, according to a report from Miller Samuel and Douglas Elliman. The report largely attributed the spike to brokers being unable to show apartments due to business restrictions, as well as a general decline in demand.

Adding to that is of course the skyrocketing crime and chaos caused by the political malpractice of the elected leaders in urban areas.  And, of course, the changing dynamics of the workplace, where many can work effectively from home.

However, one must keep in mind that those incompetents were elected by the voters, who in turn must be considered lacking in their duty as citizens to vote for such people.  Glen Reynold's Welcome Wagon approach to the blue refugees isn't enough - they may not be teachable, by and large.

Hence, to protect red areas from the influx of refugees from blue dystopias, suburban leaders need only discourage them from moving there by prominently displaying such politically incorrect but normal and common sense slogans like "All lives matter here in Mayberry."  I'd suggest something like that should go on large signs prominently displayed on all major roads in and out of town.  The Woke Folk will be repelled and go away.

Any further suggestions for slogans to act as Kryptonite to keep the woke blue flu away?  Remember, it has to be something that would have been just fine to say a year ago, but should you say it now you'd lose your job.

  1. " they may not be teachable" -- And that's EXACTLY the problem. Yeah, they'll move to other places, but they'll still do the same stupid shit that turned their former residences into shit-holes, which means that their new homes will become shit-holes, too, and the cycle will go on and on, because they're incapable of recognizing their own stupidity and will never take responsibility for their own actions.

  2. "MLK Trumps BLM"

(King would be very clearly against the BLM nutters, so with Trump in the slogan too...)

  3. Back in the 50s and 60s one would see bumper stickers on New Mexico autos to the effect of 'Don't Californicate New Mexico!'
Sadly it didn't work and now New Mexico is third world country right here in the US.

  4. The problem is the World Wide Media.
My father grew up in Dorchester and Roxbury, he eventually moved to the South Shore, had friends that hunted, fished the rivers and ocean. He bought a boat. Became a Republican.
Today the emigres move to the country; they don't hunt, they don't fish, they sit in front of the boob tube every night and absorb their programming, their wives are worse; during the day they sit and smile at Oprah, and view The View and the rest of it. All identical in message with only the approved images.

The local bank, in a town with at least 90% Caucasian residents and customers; I railed at my account manager once (in a meeting where I pulled all my investment accounts from them) about the undeniable fact that every piece of literature from the bank only contained Black men and women, an occasional White woman but she was always pictured in company with a Black man, a few Asians but no White men. I didn't 'see' myself in that bank.
How long will it be before Turner Movie Classics is deplatformed? Before COZI TV is bought and closed by some wealthy leftist.

How do we get the Media back?

    1. How do we get the Media back?

WE don't. They and their Indoctrinaters (teachers) in college need some serious "Come to the Lord" meetings. Baring that; and it won't work any way, they're too far gone; as Bracken says in one of his books, about 1000 will have to meet their maker, before their time, for it to sink in to them that what they're doing is counterproductive, to the nation and themselves.

    3. You're both right, unfortunately.
They won't change, so remove your financial support. Don't use Google, JewTube, MSM, CableTV, NFL, NASCAR... remove yourself from their world, and work towards onemore compatible - Gab, BitBox, etc.

    5. If you don't already know about it - look up the Frankfurt School. This has been playing out for a long time.

"The Frankfurt School, known more appropriately as Critical Theory, is a philosophical and sociological movement spread across many universities around the world. It was originally located at the Institute for Social Research ( Institut für Sozialforschung ), an attached institute at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany."

  5. NYC has been pushed down before and it's always come back, cities on a world with billions of people are a reality... maybe "the" reality.

As to the people leaving, they will bring their 24/7 media that "all says the same thing" with them. What is being spread will continue to be spread....

  6. Am I having a false memory (I'm pretty old) of Washington or Oregon years ago having signs at their southern borders aimed at Californians which said something like, "Welcome to Washington, now leave"?

    1. No Henry Lee, you are right they where on I5 and I99 and I395, main highways coming up from California at the border in Oregon. They were taken down when the population from kommiefornia reached critical mass and complained. I am a a Oregonian from day dirt was invented and now live in Idaho and I wish there were here on the border and border guards to issue 3 day passes to Oregon, Washington and California plates and let them know after 3 days they will be hunted down and eliminated with extreme prejudice.

  7. "Go Home Asshole"
    Works for me.

We see them all the time up here in North Maine.
They come on vacation, and just ..............(long sigh) love it here.
Then they go home, sell their house and come up to buy another at a price that's less than a new Volvo.
First year, they just........(you know the drill) love it here.
The following winter, the sewer freezes because they plowed off the lawn that covered it, and can't understand why the "city" doesn't fix it and by the way, why don't they plow our driveway when the plow goes by?
The next winter, they find out that last winter was a mild one, and they thought it was climate change that filled in their driveway, but it was really a disgruntled plow guy that they had disrespected at the annual town meeting.
The next summer, out comes the real estate agent to put up the for sale signs, advertising the property for three times what it's worth.
The next summer, after eight price reductions, resulting in a price 10% less than they paid, they finally are able to move back home where they came from and are still wondering how they happened to move to a community with so many assholes in it.

    1. Too funny. I know someone with a similar story, although they haven't moved out yet. Their "frozen sewer" was their trash. They contracted with a Trash company and after three months stopped paying the bill. The trash company came to pick up their dumpster and dumped the trash at the base of the steps into their mobile home. They're still living there and the trash pile is still in the same place 4 years later.
