And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Definitely Pfalz d.III, based on the tail shape and the slight separation of wing struts where the mount on the lower wing. The Albatross' struts came and mount on the same point, a true 'V' shape.
Most of those WWI biplanes had a device called an interrupter to allow them to shoot through the gaps in the propeller blades. That was pretty high tech for the early 20th century.
I think that it's an Albatross but it looks a bit like a Pfalz
