  1. You know, I never thought that ramped brick wall around the center of that roundabout might have been put there deliberately just to make cars go flying. If they wanted to stop cars, they could have made vertical walls.

    1. May also have been intended to reduce certain kinds of injuries—while the airborne car will land eventually, a landing is (potentially) less likely to cause the same kind of head-snap, spinal injuries like a straight-on impact would.

      I don't know for a fact that that is the purpose of the design, but it seems to make sense.

  6. Was a passenger of six in one of these that the driver did the same thing - was a few years back.

    Didn't notice any flying except for the exclamations of the passengers.

    What the hell is a roundabout doing in San Antonio anyway!?

  7. Just watch Russian crash videos. I've seen this sort of crash multiple times, and yes, they get some remarkable air.
