And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Yes there is insurance. Which is just a fancy way of spreading risk so that everyone pays. Insurance is necessary, as without it much of what we take for granted in the world (commerce, transportation, building anything much bigger than a shack) would be so expensive that the bulk of it would never exist. Funny how people see insurance payouts as someone else's money, and never connect this to the bitching they do when rates rise...
