  1. HI C. W.,
"ABSOTUTELY!!!! GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!" 'Back when.. 'had the opportunity to Fly in all 3 aircraft... I could add a laundry list of "old Favorites!!!" 'Just a few... the "CLASSIC" J3 Cub, and if you can find one a PA-15 or PA-17 "Vagabond!!!" Piper took the "Cub" Fuselage, shortened it(took out the back seat and widened it to a '2-place') then cut off the wing from the root so that the ailerons start at the second rib from the fuse.!!!! the 15 had a 65 hp Franklin engine and the 17 had a 65 hp Continental... Talk about a zippy little bird!!!! One of my favorites.. the 7AC Aeronca "Champ" in 65 hp. Solo'ed "N2211E" back in'62 when I was 16 years old!! That Dope and fabric with 80 octane avgas smell haunts me to this day!!!!

"FLY!!!!!!!!!... While you still have your wings!!!!,"

  2. My Dad had a Luscombe "Silvaire" when I was a kid.....sold it in '54 to pay for my sister....he traded a Mooney Mite straight up, so he could take along a passenger....I remember flying out of New Smyrna Beach over the Atlantic coast with him and my Mom.....I was only four at the time....had my first inverted flight experience back then....I called my self helping him paint it red and white, in the open air next to the hanger....those days are gone forever....
