Me too. I really like the DA/SA capability; that lets me carry with a full mag, a round in the chamber, but not cocked. If the fecal matter hits the rotating airfoil, then I can just squeeze a round off DA. If I have time, I much prefer to cock the hammer back & shoot SA.
1911s are great, but it makes me nervous to carry cocked & locked; I just don't trust safeties very much.
If you're nervous with your 1911 in condition 1 get a holster with a thumb break. John Bianchi's Frontier Gunleather makes several to choose from Boat Guy
TCM? I hadn't until now. What do the cartels see in it as opposed to other rounds, I wonder. I'll bet they are reloading for it in some out of the way shack in the mountains.
"They make decent rifles too." I am assuming you mean CZ makes a decent rifle. + 50 on that remark.
The CZ 450 rimfire series is an updated Brno rimfire rifle. The CZs are great (the Grandparent Brno #1 - #5 are AWESOME!). CZ center fires are also fantastic. The set trigger function is an awesome upgrade if shooting on a fixed position is commonly done.
My wife surprised me with a CZ75 a few years back on Christmas. It was brought back by a serviceman and came from behind the Iron Curtain before he bought it. It fit my hand like a fine glove when I first held and I wanted it bad but would not spend the money myself. She pulled a quick one and picked it up a few hours after I had seen it and presented it to me Christmas morning. It goes to the range on every trip. jack
Now THAT I like. Clean and simple looking...
ReplyDeleteI have a CZ75. Love that gun. It is my go to.

For me, one of the most natural feeling grip designs found on a handgun. Very comfortable. The Hi-Power is nearly as good, but the CZ is perfection.

Have you seen the .22 RCM (9R) yet? It's an interesting take on a .22 caliber projectile and is gaining popularity with drug cartels.

And for the best of both words:

Two drawbacks: it's heavy, and it's price
But what a great looking piece...the compact model might be a carry option.
