Now THATS a rifle ! Octagonal barrel (possibly a take-down ?), the 1886 Winchester was a classic lever gun. I wonder if the artisan that detailed it is still alive, that is a large amount of meticulous work.
I've become a fan of straight walled cartridges. No incipient head separation. Fewer feeding problems less worry about bullet alignment. And a large wound channel. I love my. 375 Winchester, and should I ever think that's not enough, the. 458 win. Mag will fill in the gaps! Try one, the new. 350 Winchester sounds like a winner!
