    1. PS - I tried to make sausage once and it turned out to be only slightly better than 'horrible'. Having reconciled myself with the universe, I buy it these days.

    2. Good sausage recipes are a well guarded secret. As a kid on the farm, when "hog killin" time came around (about this time of the year) Old Mrs. Agnes would get the call to season the sausage and scrapple. She was paid in meat, and produce from the farms she visited.
      We paid her well!
