And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I delivered new cars for a living. A 30 year Teamster car hauler. It always cracked me up when delivering to a holding yard down wind of a runway at JFK. It was primarily a residential neighborhood, off the Belt Parkway. Houses on one side of the street and a big lot on the other. A 747 would fly over and maybe a couple of car alarms in the neighborhood would go off. A Concorde would fly over and all of them would go off. Wow, were they noisy.
