  2. My former f.i.l. lived in something not this big but similar in the westlands of England. He had paperwork on the house from the early 1600's and the land from the 1300's. Quite the place to spend time, it was.

  4. That appears to be in the UK where a cosy house such as this, in the countryside, is defined as a cottage. Many rural properties are on the edge of a road, many without a footpath such as the one in the picture, so even closer to the road.
