And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

A Stable Genius
I've come to realize Trump plays the stupid media like a fiddle. And they've learned absolutely nothing in the time he's been doing it. I am astounded at his skill at this, and equally astounded at the press' fence post level of idiocy.
He had the order prepared to pull John Brennan's security clearance two weeks ago. Then held it until the Omarosa thing hit. Then executed it to change the narrative. He's a genius. He defeated sixteen competitors in the Republican field in detail and then took out Crooked Hillary at the cankles.
Watching PDJT wreak havoc on and troll the legacy media we've all come to despise is just an added bonus in my opinion. The media, with their deluded sense of self importance just can't keep up....
can't yet wrap my head around the idea that people no longer holding the jobs that required the security clearance can hang on to the security clearance after they no longer have the job. it is nuts, to my mind. the security access is all initiated at the office of the President of the United States. All security clearance is granted "in the name of the President" and if the President decides to revoke it, the President doesn't need a reason to do so. (insert browneye emogie here), politicans look at a clearance as an ego thing-gotta have it! they should never get it if they can't keep their traps shut. that makes it about all of them. they then say they can't make decisions in the dark, but then when did knowing the facts ever stop them from being stupid as a fencepost.
I think it's probably a hold-over from more methodical times, to allow transitions of leadership for the political appointees. And since DC is such an insular community, largesse for allowing retention would be something that the Old Boys would comp each other on. But now, with the out-of-power crowd acting out like shrill lunatics, it makes perfect sense to strip them of any shreds of legitimacy or expertise. Since they're going on TV as paid opponents to trash the Administration and everything it does, there's no point in ceding a professional advantage for it. It does look like Trump is using SC revocation as a change-the-story card. Good for him and long may it continue.
I've never had a security clearance but I have been told that normally when security clearance is granted in the US military, it is for specific tasks or projects, and then revoked when the project--or employment--comes to a close.
I love to see little whiny boy Acosta cry. And President Trump causes Jimmy's lacrimal sacs to empty profusely, Like a boss! :) MAGA!

DeleteIs it different for Presidential employees?
Twitter is Trump's laser pointer and the media are a bunch of cats. They simply can't help themselves.
