  2. what absolute heroic people there are out there. travel to the moon, stay awhile, walk around, set up instrument systems, and return safely to the earth. all accomplished while using equipment manufactured by the lowest bidder and operated by a government agency. somehow I always missed the seeing the support people with the wheel barrows used to carry the astronauts balls after they returned.
    It remains the most vivid memory I have of my dad; of us all watching the first landing on the moon. what an astounding feat of bravery and engineering that was. that they were the first without knowing that it could be done. we were all of us inspired by the entire space program to be the best we could be...
