  2. Why go to Greenland to film this? There are hundreds of places in Alaska where you could film the same thing. Every day people riding the ferry from Valdez to Whittier see a glacier calve.

    1. I think it must be the warm, welcoming Greenlandic women. After a long, hard day of studying glacier calving, there's nothing better than a gentle hug and greeting from them, and a hot bowl of Iglummuki to make a guy feel appreciated.

    2. Perhaps they are studying this specific glacier. Just because Alaska has glaciers doesn’t mean that going to Greenland is a bad idea. A rather nonsensical comment.

  3. The expedition to the Valdez ferry wouldn't pay as much as a trip to Greenland for the scientists and the universities who bill big time for these shots.
