And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That is a Harley 45 flathead. It has the old school extra cooling with the holes drilled into the cooling fins. From the factory they were good for 12 to 14 HP. Bump the compression, shave and balance the flywheel, and bump the compression up to 10:1, and with the right cams and trick headwork you could get 25 to 27 HP out of this motor but it would run very hot. By drilling the fins that increased cooling area. Another trick was to double the oil capacity and add a cooling radiator to cool the oil.
I love it! As a lifelong air and gas compressor mechanic, Millwright and maintenance mechanic, I understand that those holes will increase the capacity of the heads. I once worked on a gas compressor at an oil field. It was liquid cooled. For a few minutes, I was confused. It had a radiator with an inlet and an outlet, but it lacked a pump.
All it had was a small electric driven fan. It was at that moment that I realized that the law of thermodynamics would circulare the coolant.
Crowned heads?
