    1. Greetings back at you. Today, for the first time this summer, I sensed Fall in the air. How about up at Pine Grove?

    2. Autumn for sure. Low 80's for the first time in months. Actually felt cold this morning mowing the pasture.

My first comment was a bit too,er, nuanced...Martin made it a bit clearer: Das Matterhorn, not die Matterhorn. I have a strong pedantic streak in me, I guess. I am not necessarily the last word on German language issues because I don't speak German I speak Hessisch. Martin knows what I mean.
I hope to run into you up here at some point. I look for the USAF sticker in the window to see if it may be your pick-up truck. I don't eat at Therese's very often, so I won't run into you there. You ever make it up Volcano way?
BTW, my eldest is stationed at Holloman AFB.

MfG (that is a German acronym for "Friendly greetings")
Goetz von Berlichingen (not my real name. He was a medieval German badass,)

    3. We'll have to do a meat up sometime, maybe at Giannini's.

    4. If you ever see an old guy driving around in a white Mercedes 280sl that looks like this:

      That'll be me.

    5. Now that's a Mercedes I could drive. I like clean tires and wheel wells. I'll keep an eye out next time I'm rolling through town.

    1. Ack! My daughter pointed out the potential mistake, but wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for the clarification.
