The Dutch discovered a WWII era sea mine washed up on a beach, and decided that rather than try to defuse it, they would instead detonate it.

What this video doesn't show was the the backhoe operator carrying the mine over to that spot, then burying it in a pile of sand.   After watching that detonation, I doubt he will ever agree to do that again.

I'll bet all those spectators said the Dutch equivalent of "holy chit!" when that went off.  WWII vintage, but still plenty potent!
