And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I hear that. Wife and I lived in Chico for 30 years, followed our kids to Texas in 2015. Shopping for power from different companies was like coming up for air. Yes, cost here has just about doubled in that time. We are about two years into our current five-year contract. Rate is fixed at 8.9 cents/Kwh, not including delivery (a separate company) and tax.
Lived in Chico (or thereabouts), followed kids to Texas; that's why I thought that it WAS you.
I'm the guy that is a B-17 fanboy (I fought wildfires with the last of the B-17 'Borate Bombers' in '73) who lamented the closing of Huntington's in Oroville. Remember me now?
Elmo, yes, I certainly did and do remember you, and our past conversations. It's just that I took your meaning as referring to a third party. Apologies again for being a bit dim.
Speaking of B-17's, wife and I recently went here--

DeleteLooks like you have a Brother from another Mother somewhere in Texas, RHT447.
".. Brother from another Mother somewhere in Texas,.." Forgive me being a bit dim, but could you enlighten me a bit further?
DeleteAs it happens, I do have a half-brother. Well, as far as I know. Last I heard, he was living in Los Angles.

Wow, Awesome.
DeleteMedal of Honor citations literally send chills up my spine. 2d Lt. Femoyer's story was no exception.
He died at 23. Young men like him were amazing.
Thanks for sharing those links.
