And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Miss my Tiger. Yeah Lucas is the prince of darkness, but over time figured workarounds for the electricals, a Hunt magneto helped a lot. Traded up for a basket case Norton Commando, got that running, traded it for Yamaha 650, very reliable, raced it at the local road course track, sold it got a factory TZ 250 kit bike, raced it a few years, and then got into Ducati's when the first belt drives showed up, first time I heard that 90 degree twin decelerating down the front straight, got a 750 Super Sport first year they shipped over from Italy which was only 3 in those days, what a machine, hand built too, never looked back. Still love racing the air cooled two valves.
Baby cack yellow
ReplyDeleteLuv them old Triumphs.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Classic looks.
DeleteHad a '70 Triumph Trophy. Wasn't quick by any means but got it to 90 and felt good.
