And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I'm not a doctor but I've known multiple people who got this, and in the end they were all very happy they did. But, apparently the recovery process after surgery is painful, so be ready.
As said, the better shape you are in beforehand the easier it'll be after. I've had both (Thank God I'm not a horse, I'm done). Second one is being the stinker. Three months after the operation an infected abscess showed up on the right knee. And that's after taking all the post-op meds. So keep an eye on it as it heals and don't be afraid to bring anything that doesn't look right to your doctor.
My first replacement went well. Recovery was not bad as I thought it would be. Therapy was actually fun cause the people were so nice. Knee is painless and works great. Looking forward to getting the other one done. Scar is pretty large but I decided to give up the beauty contest circuit. Bubbarust
Looks so pleasant. I wish I wasn't old and crippled.
ReplyDeleteI've done similar, way back when I wasn't old and crippled.
ReplyDeletespeaking of crippled. I'm looking at a knee replacement. Should I do it?
ReplyDeleteGet yourself in the best shape possible, and eat right, and do research (read, pix, video) on the process (follow up problems, exercises, etc.).
DeleteThat's seems to be a fairly common procedure among older folks so perhaps you know someone that has had it done? Consult with them and ask for advice.
