And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That’s how we started the old Dodge each spring when it came out of winter storage. Air cleaner off, a little gas down the carb, fired right up. May have singed the insulation on the underside of the hood a little.
Looks like the throttle was wide opened AND it should have sucked it down with that amount of throttle opening. Instead, it looks like that Edelbrock/Carter stumbled and backfired.
This is not desirable behavior. Carburators are not flame rated devices.
