And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Back when cartoons were great. I'd sure like to find the ACME company and get some of the fun toys Wylie-Bugs-Elmer had. However did they fit them on their bods with invisible pockets? Matches that lit every time? METV still shows some of them from the 30's-40's. I'm never growing up!
Not new. Navy pilots used similar in WW 2 fighter aircraft.

ReplyDeleteVF-31 is the 2nd oldest Fighter Squadron in the Navy. I spent 3 years in 31 back in the 70s flying F-4 Phantoms. Had a fantastic time.

WWII-era logo, carried forward to modern times.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in the USN (1988-92), they were flying the F-14 Tomcat, so the cat in the logo had two tails.
