And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My grandfather in law worked with cowboys one summer in the 1940's in Wyoming. Said they were mostly drunk, dirty, farting hard working tough guys. He became a geologist and worked for oil companies and traveled the world. I think that was his cowboy way. How many Americans sleep under the stars even once in their lives? And not in their backyard or passed out at a frat party, back country camping and seeing the Milky Way like humans did for thousands of years?
January 1967; Highpoint of an uneventful operation in the Mekong Delta occurred one night standing gun watch. Not a star gazer, I just looked up, somehow connected the "dots" - and there it was, the "Southern Cross".
I think many, many Americans alive today have enjoyed the experience of sleeping in a remote or semi remote place (by good planning or bad fortune) this gorgeous country has offered. If not, they are a very impoverished group.
What turd is going to claim that they have their hats on backwards???
