And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

The other day, my wife was watching a movie on some channel I didn't know we had. Sofia Loren and a bunch of other big names were in it but what struck me was I had forgotten how utterly beautiful she was back in the day.
I mentioned her name to the kid doing the PT on the new knee.
He never heard of her. We saw better movies and shows back in the old rabbit ear TV days when all the good movies were playing on UHF.
BTW I have the DVD of "The boy and the Dolphin", Sophia as a Greek skin diver. My first look as a boy at what emergence in water did to a blouse wore by a 'healthy' woman. Oh Sophia!
