My plan for the weekend

  1. How can one not love a Labrador at rest? They work so hard when awake, their rest is richly deserved. When young, their waking hours are all wild, frenetic activity, to no obvious end. As they mature, they become working companions who do what they do for love of their pack (us) and their instincts. My black Lab will be 11 this March, and her greatest joy is not her food bowl, but her time in the fields and forests chasing birds. I hunt with her every chance I get because it is her joy and her reward for putting up with me during the 95% of her life that she's not hunting. With that level of devotion to her master and her craft (finding birds), I could not do other than reward her with hunts, treats and a comfy place to rest.
