  2. Doesn't need to be restored, needs to be made rideable and cleaned up. I'd ride it. Old flat heads have enough horse power.

    1. Ive ridden lots of motorcycles that had drum brakes, first time I got on a bike with hydraulic disc brakes, I almost went over the handlebars when I went to slow down.

      Ive driven plenty of tractors with mechanical drum brakes, on a old Ford 8-N , sometimes you gotta stand up out of the seat to get enough weight to stop , driven plenty of old Model A Fords with mechanical drum brakes. same deal, you plan your stops ahead of time.

      bought the same with a loaded 18 wheeler, you plan your stops and turns ahead of time. my first 18 wheeler was a 1981 International 9670 cabover, with 350 horsepower and NO power steering. was very common even in the 80s for 18 wheelers to not have power steering.
