Somebody recommended this brand recently, and I like this flavor because I can modify (improve?) it easily using leftovers, but here it is in a six pack. 18 cents an ounce, easily storable for a long time. Food insurance for hurricanes, fires, earthquakes - you name it.
I don't have the data, but I feel like these new pull-top cans (Progressive loves them) don't keep the contents as fresh as long as fully sealed ones do. Yes, we're still talking years, just not as many.

Lots of good options out there. I recently used some of this company's mushroom stock to flavor up some stuffing. Worked well.
