  1. I have a similar bench grinder that I use to remove excess glaze from the bottom of my recently fired pots.

    1. Be careful. I've got a Wen -different model, same base machine - and it CANNOT be balanced. I'm a tool maker with 50+ years in the trade - I know how. I've concluded it's something in the spindle, but new bearings, spacers, balanced wheels from other machines, you-name-it, it still vibrates like a Magic Wand. If you buy one, immediately check it for smooth running and ship it back if it vibrates.
Incidentally- this is a bit unusual. Wen is an old, established brand and generally makes pretty decent mid range hobby shop tools.

  3. At first glance I thought the brand was “Binford” and wondered if Tim Allen was involved.

  4. Meh. 1/2 horse, fine for a hobby shop. Not overpriced. The usual crappy tool rests. If you don't have a bench grinder, and can't find a used one for $50, this'll do.
