And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I agree with above comment - that scope is begging for an impact that will ruin a hunt. At the very least needs a padded cover over both ends of scope.
That is a LOT of hard work climbing. Where the air is naturally thing and terrain is steep. In USA, I'm guessing mountain goat or Dall sheep is the quarry.
I see pics like these, guys way out in these remote spots, and i remember all the times dragging deer out of the bush, why oh why did i go so far in? Few times ended up down to wearing my tee shirt in my back pocket too keep cool in November or December. No regrets. Just laughing at myself.
Looks like a Christensen Arms of some flavor, or something similar. Carbon fiber-wrapped barrel is the big tell, plus the stock design. Crucially, the stock on this one lacks the integrated bipod and long forearm of the Steyr, and wrong barrel (thin profile steel with fluting). Lightweight like the Steyr Scout, though.
I'd be carrying that rifle with the scope up against my back so if I fell it wouldn't take the hit. ---ken

DeleteHardcore wild sheep or mountain goat hunter.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I figured as well. This is not a guy out for a six pointer.
