A Sacramento Area Landmark

  1. I've been by the place a thousand times but have never been inside, as I was working seventeen hours a day. My bride has eaten dinner there when she was on a road crew. She said it was really good, but was always very crowded. Of course, this was years ago under a different ownership.

    It always looks inviting when it's dark and the neon sign is lit up.

  2. Looks like it has really gone upscale since 1984, when I was last there. Got a little tipsy on Gold Cadillacs [way sweet] and got into my only real bar fight. In law school at the time. Good times, good times ;>} Oh, and I think the ribs were good.

    4. Me, 1985. Small school so probably ran into each other a time or two. Not in the library though, never went there and did just fine. Actually dated Sherry, the Student Center bar tender for a while. Like I said ... good times, good times ;>}

    5. Sounds like being in law school requires spending a lot of time in bars.

      Maybe you have to pass out in a bar before you can pass the bar.

    7. 1985 Anon, nope. A friend and I were always joking about how we'd like to buy a bar in the tropics, put the diploma over the bar and say, "USED to be a lawyer"
