And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
So true. Had to deliver to a bank on main street in downtown Hartford, Ct that had a narrow alley for dock access. Finding some remote address to what looked like an abandoned building was another. At least this guy wasn't making deliveries in sh@tcago at 2 am.
Many years ago, I had a girlfriend whose parents owned a grocery store in downtown Minneapolis. By the time she and I were dating the store had closed but she described this sort of delivery scene. Pretty intense.
I remember a store in Indiana where I had to do this, except with a 53 foot box. Bit of a challenge sometimes, some of the places I had to go to.
