And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Pride of Baltimore II and USS Constitution at the Charlestown Navy Yard, by Jeff Crosby 2021
Pride of Baltimore II is home ported at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. If you ever get the chance, take the Harbor Tour. You go out of the Harbor and then drift about 3.5nm offshore from Fort McHenry. Then the Captain will give a history lesson like you've never had before about the battle that ensued and which led to what is known as our National Anthem. It's also worth taking a tour of Fort McHenry. If you don't have your own American flag, stop by the gift shop and buy one of the Annen Flags. Then ask one of the Park Rangers and they will let you fly your flag at the flagpole. If you already have your own, bring it and you can fly it too.
