And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The crazy thing, is, my Finnish friend actually enjoys doing just that, and he actually keeps an big old chest freezer outside of his house, filled with water, chilled to 32 degrees. He's accustomed himself to soak in that chest freezer for up to 5 minutes, then he jumps in his sauna, and then goes back to the chest freezer for another cold soak. I tried it. Once. Lasted about 30 seconds in the chest freezer.
I have a chest freezer with water in it and I go into it most days of the week. It’s usually about 35 degrees. As I get more used to tolerating that pain, I realize I can tolerate people and situations that are a pain, also. Like I always say- “gotta do something for fun!”
