And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? A five and a half foot Sugar Pine second cut. Just an average log back in the day when they creamed the woods. Not complaining, that's just the way it was. They thought the timber would never run out.
Ever seen a photo of replanted Weyerhaeuser land next to Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument ground? I have.
I prefer Weyerhaeuser's version of forest management over FedGuv's version. I also prefer green trees sequestering carbon over moonscapes any day of the week. So do the critters.
Those were big logs!

Big timber did. "Scientific Tree Farming", aka Weyerhaeuser, took over.
