And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I've got to believe that's a late '40s Dodge cab and bed retrofitted onto a Dodge WC series (WWII weapons carrier) frame and running gear. The cabs were identical, including the gauges.
Regardless, It's a beautiful build with a classy color scheme. The only improvement I could suggest would be to run 9.00x16 non-directional tires as opposed to the 7.50x16 snow tires he's got on it now. The 9.00x16s would still be original but really give the truck a beefier look.
I learned to drive in the '48 2WD version of that truck. Perfect size for a seven year old, with a stack of feed bags on the seat. Foot pedal start, IIRC, and a floor shift. Grampa was pissed, but then said, don't tell Gramma. Memories.
