And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
See this got me to thinking... the tongue trick worked for me... its not pleasant, just a mild shock, but really doesn't hurt - humans don't like that sensation though. And since I'm not an electrician, I have to ask... will anything happen? Correct me if I am wrong, lets assume the nose ring is pure sterling silver (or other highly conductive metal), wouldn't the voltage merely leap from one end of the battery to the other (through what is effectively a thick piece of wire)? Will the electricity leak into nearby tissue and stimulate the nerves (like when you touch your tongue)?
When I was young I tried the tongue to battery thing and NOTHING happened.

That nose ring will get real hot, real quick. Happened to me with a shorted 9V battery and a penny in my pocket. Really hot!
DeleteWhy mean?
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I can see for anyone wearing a nose ring is to get some good use out of a 9V battery.
Burn baby, burn. Even low voltage can mess you up with metal jewelry.
ReplyDeleteUse a car battery!
